
Ryan Carlisle is a Principal of Western Ventures Construction along with Shannon McPhee. His primary duties are to develop, oversee, and maintain the entire field operations of Western Ventures. That consists of bid selections, new business development, cost estimating, project management, scheduling, field staffing, worker safety, and most importantly - owner and subcontractor relations. Ryan is also a Project Manager for Western Ventures alongside Senior Project Manager and mentor, Jim Erickson, and our up-and-coming Project Manager, Jason Marion. The PM’s duties include: development and coordination of project schedule and budget, issuing contracts and purchase orders, maintaining the projects’ paperwork and managing the projects’ close-out activities.
Ryan has been responsible for a wide range of public and private projects. Some projects include:
- UW Kane Hall Auditorium 130 - UW’s Largest Lecture Hall
- Harborview Medical Center Elevator Upgrades - Upgrades to 9 Elevators in an Active Level One Trauma Center
- UW HSC I-Wing Cognitive Research - $2,000,000 State of the Art Research Facility for Primates
- UWMC Combined Vascular Clinic - $1,000,000 Tenant Improvement in the Surgery Pavilion at UW Medical Center
- Valley Medical Center Eye Clinic / CT Scan - $850,000 Fast Track Project for Valley Medical Center
Prior to Western Ventures, Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Washington. He was also a Project Engineer at Valley Electric during his internship for the CM Program. Ryan has been working in the construction industry since he was 15 and near construction his whole life, starting with his father, Bud Carlisle, a Project Manager with Bayley Construction in 1980, and later a General Manager at Images Woodworking.
